About CHILDREN 1st

CHILDREN 1^ST is one of Scotland's leading child welfare charities. For over 120 years it has been working to provide every child in Scotland with a safe and secure childhood.

Today CHILDREN 1^ST supports families under stress, protects children from harm and neglect, helps them recover from abuse and promotes children's rights and interests.

Operating 38 services throughout Scotland, the organisation runs 5 services in the north east of Scotland including Corrieneuchin, our abuse-recovery service in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire for children and young people who have suffered emotional, physical or sexual abuse; our Family Group Meetings offering family support, particularly to those involved with youth crime and drug misuse and our Fraserburgh Families support helping disadvantaged children under the age of 5 whose parents or carers have drug / alcohol misuse issues.
