The prestigious Touch of Tartan Ball, which celebrated its 21st anniversary in 2008, is one of the biggest fundraisers in Scotland.
Since its launch the annual event has raised more than £1m for Scottish charity CHILDREN 1ST, which
offers help and support to vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people.
There are several CHILDREN 1ST services in the Aberdeen area alone and in often difficult
financial climates, money needs to be raised regularly to enable continuation of the vital support given by this amazing organisation.
The vision of a healthy, happy, safe and secure childhood for every child and young person in Scotland is the aim and the Touch of Tartan Ball
continues its success in raising funds to enable significant donations to be made to this cause.
Hosted at Aberdeen’s Beach Ballroom, it is a popular date on the corporate events calendar, attracting more than 500 attendees each year.
The Touch of Tartan Ball was the brainchild of CHILDREN 1ST representative, Major Ian Robertson, in the
mid-eighties but only became a large-scale event when the late Princess Margaret began supporting and attending the event.
In recent years, television personality & designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and his wife Jackie have been guests of honour and are generous supporters.
This year’s glittering event is taking place on 20th November and our headline sponsors are:
